RECRUITMENT OF NEW ENTRANTS INTO REHABILITATION COUNSELING

The Board cultivates university affiliations through our activity of holding its regular monthly Board meeting at the sites of the rehabilitation counseling programs in the metropolitan area: New York University or Hunter College.  We meet with their Rehabilitation Counselor Student Associations, encouraging students to take advantage of the discounted conference fee and student membership. These programs’ faculty members actively participate on the Board of the Chapter as it plans training activities and develops conference programs.

Our Board includes rehabilitation educators, former U. S. Department of Education-Rehabilitation Services Administration Assistant Regional Commissioners, and other rehabilitation professionals from some of the most prestigious rehabilitation agencies in Region: Veterans’ Hospital, International Center for the Disabled, FEGS, Abilities, Visiting Nurse Association, the NY State Department of Education-VESID, etc.
